Rainforest Alliance POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Forest Management and Verification Services Specialist (FMVER)
The Asia-Pacific Forest Management (FM) Specialist will be responsible for providing FM and Verification services and to support the sale and development of the market for SmartWood FM certification and verification services to clients. Primary focus will be on FSC FM, OW and Legality Verification. S/he will assist the FM and Verification Services Coordinator in managing all SmartWood FM clients in the region through coordination of local SmartWood representatives.
Chain-of-Custody Associate (COC)
The Asia Pacific Chain-of-Custody (COO) Associate will be working with CoC Coordinator for providing CoC certification services to the clients. S/he will be responsible for assisting CoC Coordinator to manage all SmartWood CoC clients in the region through coordination of local SmartWood representatives.
Qualifications:
• Excellent in English; English at least TOEFL 250 computer based;
• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field, natural resource management or related field is required;
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel:
• Forestry Experience is preferable and has ability to work with reports;
• Familiar with multitasking atmosphere & Internet-based data-base system
• Willingness to travel in the Asia Pacific region about 40% of the time,
• Preferably has experience in auditing (ISO 9000 / 140001 or CoC);
• Knowledge in FSC Certification will be an advantage;
